Swimming or Drowning?

Screen Shot 2016-05-04 at 7.19.13 PMWhen I was 5, I did not know how to swim. That Summer I got caught by an under-tow while at the beach on Cape Cod. Yikes! Drowning became a great fear of mine. I finally got in the groove of WET, but I’m still a bit edgy in super deep “wild” water.

But  do DIVE into WORK! Right now I’m diving into several pools at the same time. The Haggin Museum Storytelling Docents’ residency is going very well. We have about a dozen dedicated docents, who are learning to be storytellers. We’re in our final stretch, working and editing stories that will be told at the museum; planning our the logistics of incorporating stories into the museum’s tours. It’s really been a great project. If  you’ve never visited the Haggin Museum, I highly recommend it! But wait until next Fall when you can call up and ask to meet one of their fantastic storytellers!

Those other pools are pretty amazing, too: Last month…Vocàli Camp, with Joe Craven! This month…Spring 2016 Strawberry Music Festival. In June…The Dangberg Home Ranch Storytelling Weekend! And in October…The Sierra Story Winds Retreat in October. Wow!  And oh, yeah, some time this Summer it looks like this Old Gray Mare is going to get a new HIP!
